Grant Supports Isabella Community Soup Kitchen

The Isabella Community Soup Kitchen is a local organization that works to help alleviate hunger by unconditionally providing free meals and a sense of community daily, in a supportive atmosphere. More than 2,000 hot lunches are served monthly. A recent grant from the McCracken Family Fund and Isabella Community Soup Kitchen Fund was made to help alleviate operating costs.

Audio Tour Added to Access Adventure Trail

New signs on the Access Adventure Trail allow visitors to experience Chipp-A-Waters Park in a whole new way! Nine new signs contain QR codes, which visitors can scan with their smartphones and other handheld devices to take an audio tour of the park. From birds to forest layers, each of the nine narratives describes a different element of nature found along the trail. The audio tour is the latest addition to the Access Adventure Trail, which was made possible by a grant from the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation to the City of Mt. Pleasant as part of the Access to Recreation initiative. Read more about the Access Adventure Trail audio tour here.
