Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation

For good. For ever.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for all citizens of Isabella County, now and for generations to come, by attracting and holding permanent endowed funds from a wide range of donors, addressing needs through grant making and providing leadership on key community issues.

Mt. Pleasant Business Professionals of America (BPA) Chapter Fund

Business Professionals of America is a national career and technical student organization consisting of 23 state associations and more than 54,000 members. BPA is a co-curricular activity which is part of an education program designed to develop leadership abilities, competency in business occupations and interest in the American business system.

The Mt. Pleasant Area Technical Center (MPATC) Business Professionals of America (BPA) Chapter has had 27 years of success, with more than 300 national qualifiers, more than 700 state qualifiers and 35 national champions at the BPA National Leadership Conference, held each May. Many local young men and women have developed the business skills necessary for success through their involvement in this chapter.

Along with the countless opportunities and experiences BPA offers students, however, come significant annual expenses. These expenses include transportation, equipment, lodging, and registration. Therefore, knowing the great influence BPA has had on local students in the past, The Morey Foundation made a donation recently to help the program start an endowed fund at the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation.

Starting the Mt. Pleasant Business Professionals of America Fund is the chapter’s way of looking ahead to financially support its future students. Donations from local community members, along with the chapter’s annual fundraising efforts, will go toward this fund to guarantee the chapter’s continued success even through tough economic times.
