Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation

For good. For ever.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for all citizens of Isabella County, now and for generations to come, by attracting and holding permanent endowed funds from a wide range of donors, addressing needs through grant making and providing leadership on key community issues.

CRC Fund

The Cultural and Recreational Commission of Isabella County (CRC) was created in 1995 with the goal of benefiting area youth by developing recreational facilities. The CRC now owns the Martin (I.C.E.) Arena and the attached Morey Courts. These facilities offer a wide range of recreational activities year-round as part of the Isabella Community Sportsplex.

Steven and Deborah Martineau started the CRC Fund in December, 1999, in order to help ensure these facilities will continue to offer quality recreational opportunities for all members of our community.

Steve has been involved with the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation for twenty years, so he understands the importance of planting a seed in the community and allowing it to grow over time. Having watched the growth of the Martin (I.C.E.) Arena and Morey Courts over the years, he also understands the significance of these facilities for community members. “These recreational assets are there for our community,” Martineau said. “We need to protect them forever.”
