Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation

For good. For ever.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for all citizens of Isabella County, now and for generations to come, by attracting and holding permanent endowed funds from a wide range of donors, addressing needs through grant making and providing leadership on key community issues.

Michael D. and Dianne C. Morey HATS Fund

Boris and Stella, as pictured, feel very strongly about all of their buddies who don’t have homes as wonderful as they do. So they asked their owners, Mike and Dianne Morey, if they would establish a fund within the Foundation to benefit HATS (Humane Animal Treatment Society). This fund is now available to all of you who love animals and realize the importance of caring for our furry friends.

The Humane Animal Treatment Society (HATS) is a non-profit organization that started in 1999, with the purpose of assisting the Isabella County Animal Shelter. HATS would provide educational and adoption programs to increase the number of concerned and responsible animal owners. In addition, this organization hoped to decrease the number of abused and unwanted animals; and to raise people’s awareness of the humane treatment of those animals which are unable to take care of themselves. Making a donation to the Morey HATS Fund will help secure the future of many animals like Boris and Stella for years to come.
