George and Frances P. Rouman Mental Health Education Scholarship Fund

George Rouman spent 45 years as a clinician and administrator in the field of mental health, the last 40 as the Executive Director of Community Mental Health for Central Michigan, a six county mental health authority headquartered in Mt. Pleasant.  Upon his retirement his friends and colleagues created the George and Frances P. Rouman Mental Health Education Scholarship Fund.  The Fund will benefit students who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Social Work Program at Central Michigan University or those accepted in a Master of Social Work program at a public university in the State of Michigan, and pursuing a career in the mental health field.

George and Frances Rouman

George and Frances married in 1961 and moved to Mt. Pleasant in 1965.  They have four children and eight grandchildren.  Frances graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in primary education.  She is retired from the Mt.
