Bruce William Wood Memorial Scholarship Fund
Sandra and Richard Wood set up this fund in memory of their son Bruce. The Bruce William Wood Memorial Scholarship Fund’s purpose is to provide scholarships to graduating seniors from Mt. Pleasant High School who are pursuing a career in television production or related fields.
Bruce Wood was 27 years old when he and his fiancé were killed in an automobile accident. At the time he was working as a television producer for Ross Roy Productions in Novi, MI.
Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
Shall be a graduating senior from Mt. Pleasant High School.
Demonstrate academic ability with a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average.
Attend a university or college.
Be planning a career in the field of television production or related fields such as radio, photography or the arts.
Preferences:
In the selection process, financial need may be considered in giving a preference to an eligible applicant. Financial need is to be expressed as part of the applicant’s written essay.
