Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for all citizens of Isabella County, now and for generations to come, by attracting and holding permanent endowed funds from a wide range of donors, addressing needs through grant making and providing leadership on key community issues.

Charles E. Anthony Leadership Fund

The Charles E. Anthony Fund was established in 1995 in memory of community leader Charles Anthony.  It is an designated fund, which supports the administrative and operational cost associated with the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation.

Charles Anthony

Mr. Anthony was active in many civic organizations, including the foundation. He was the executive director of the foundation, serving in that capacity from 1991 until his death in 1995. According to his widow Pat Housley, “Charlie loved working with the foundation, so starting the fund in his memory was very meaningful for us.”
