McLaren Central Michigan Fund
Our community has given its full support to McLaren Central Michigan for more than 60 years, and has seen the benefits of that support continue to grow over time. In 1940, residents of Isabella county came together to raise more than $65,000 which then led to a $225,000 grant secured by the Reverend Charles MacKenzie to fund the opening of the new hospital. The hospital officially opened in 1943, and has since seen the spirit of philanthropy among residents grow even more over the years.
In 1997, the governing board for what was Central Michigan Community Hospital approved the creation of an endowed fund benefiting the organization. This fund provides an additional opportunity for the community to support the mission of the hospital in perpetuity. MCM has experienced extraordinary local involvement in the past and knows the Fund will allow the hospital to experience continued growth and will help MCM better serve the community that gave it life.
