Isabella County Restoration House Fund
The Isabella County Restoration House opened in 2012 to provide temporary shelter and empower a pathway to self-sufficiency for people experiencing homelessness in Isabella County. Recently, an endowment fund was created to provide support and help carry out ICRH’s mission.
ICRH began as a seasonal, rotating shelter that relied mostly on volunteers. Each week, a different church site would welcome guests in the evening and serve as a warm, safe place until the next morning. Now, the organization also coordinates a seasonal day shelter in Isabella County. The staff at ICRH works to connect those experiencing homelessness with local resources to meet immediate personal needs and with a path to greater independence.
The Isabella County Restoration House and staff also work to advocate for a solution to homelessness in Isabella County. Through the power of endowment, this fund held by the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation will help ICRH continue its mission.
