Listening Ear Crisis Center Fund
Building a Community that's Always There
In 2004, a Listening Ear Crisis Center endowment fund was established to provide a lasting source of income to help support the organization’s anchor program, the 24-hour telephone crisis center. The Listening Ear Crisis Center has provided information, referral and crisis line services 24 hours every day of the year since 1969. Mental health professionals and technicians help explore options and solutions to problems and offer care and support to thousands of callers each year when there is nowhere else to help. The crisis center is also part of the national 2-1-1 telephone information and referral program that connects callers to hundreds of health and human service resources throughout the area and the country.
