Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for all citizens of Isabella County, now and for generations to come, by attracting and holding permanent endowed funds from a wide range of donors, addressing needs through grant making and providing leadership on key community issues.

Lon Morey Family Fund

Lon Morey and his daughters, Terra Boone, Krista Morey, Gina Gentile and Laura King, established the Lon Morey Family Fund as a donor advised fund of the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation in 2006.

“By establishing an advised family fund with the Foundation, my daughters and I will be able to recommend grants to those programs we are most interested in supporting.” Lon Morey said. “I see this as a great way for my daughters to stay connected to Isabella County. We’re looking forward to making grants to the community from our Family Fund, but we also want to make sure those grants will be used in important ways.  Because my daughters currently live out of state, we will rely heavily on the Community Foundation to keep us informed about the needs of the community.”

The Lon Morey Family Fund serves as a family legacy, honoring the family name while benefiting the community, now and forever.
