Mt. Pleasant Rotary Club Access to Recreation Fund

Rotary International is a worldwide organization of locally based clubs whose members help support good causes and the disadvantaged. The Mt. Pleasant Rotary Club is celebrating its 85th anniversary in 2010, and is a friendly group of 60 community members committed to helping those in need and to improving local facilities.

Establishing an Access to Recreation Fund within the Foundation was therefore a natural fit for the Mt. Pleasant Rotary Club. Rotary members were active in supporting the Access Adventure Trail, and see the endowed fund as a way to remain connected to the project and to financially support future universal accessibility projects in Isabella County. The Access to Recreation Advisory Board reviews applications and makes recommendations to the Foundation's Board of Trustees about annual grantmaking from this fund.
