Shepherd Track & Field/Cross Country Scholarship Fund

Track & Field/Cross Country takes hard work and dedication. Shepherd Public Schools has a mission to provide students with the resources needed to lead, learn, grow and flourish through various athletic programs.  That’s why Shepherd Public Schools has established the Track & Field/Cross Country Scholarship Fund.

The Shepherd Track & Field/Cross Country Scholarship Fund will award scholarships to Shepherd High School students who have competed on cross country and/or track & field teams during their High School career. The scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors and those who previously graduated from Shepherd High School and will attend a university, technical or vocational school.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following criteria to apply for the Shepherd Track & Field/Cross Country Scholarship:

  • Student shall be a graduating senior or shall have previously graduated from Shepherd High School.

  • Student has participated in high school track & field and/or cross country.

  • Student shall be planning to enroll at an accredited college, university or trade school.

  • Student shall share how track & field and/or cross country has impacted their life.

Preferences:

In selecting the most qualified applicant to receive the scholarship among those meeting all criteria above, reviewers should give preference to the following, listed in priority order:

  • The number of seasons the student was involved in high school track & field and/or cross country.

  • Student has demonstrated financial need.
