Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation

For good. For ever.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for all citizens of Isabella County, now and for generations to come, by attracting and holding permanent endowed funds from a wide range of donors, addressing needs through grant making and providing leadership on key community issues.

Terra Lynn (Morey) Boone Memorial Fund

To honor the memory and philanthropic spirit of our beloved Terra, the Terra Lynn (Morey) Boone Memorial Fund was established in 2024 by Linda Morey. Terra's mother, Linda along with Terra's sisters, Krista Morey, Gina Gentile and Laura King will preserve Terra's legacy of generosity and compassion for others through this donor-advised fund. Terra passed away unexpectedly at the age of 48 on Jan 10, 2024.

Born on November 7, 1975, Terra was the daughter of Linda Morey and Lon Morey of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. A 1993 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, Terra continued her studies at Central Michigan University, and graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor's degree in Outdoor Parks, Recreation and Tourism.

Terra was an adventurous soul, and embarked on many creative endeavors including, guiding youth outdoor adventures, culinary arts, and co-authoring children's books. She also held many positions at Snowbird Ski Resort in Utah where she met her husband, Patrick. Terra was the devoted and beloved mother of DyLon and Ava Lynn, her pride and joy.

Terra enjoyed nurturing her family, helping others, and pursuing her passions. She was most passionate about helping children, the homeless, and individuals with special needs, both mental and physical. Terra loved exploring new destinations, but most of all, she cherished spending time with her family and friends. Known for her thoughtfulness, compassion and selflessness, Terra endeared herself to all who knew her. Terra’s inner beauty left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she touched, and she will forever remain in our hearts.

The Terra Lynn (Morey) Boone Memorial Fund will support initiatives in Isabella County benefiting children, homelessness and mentally and/or physically disabled individuals.
