Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation

For good. For ever.

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for all citizens of Isabella County, now and for generations to come, by attracting and holding permanent endowed funds from a wide range of donors, addressing needs through grant making and providing leadership on key community issues.

Wieczorek Family Fund

Steve Wieczorek established the Wieczorek Family Fund in 2024 to support homeless individuals in Isabella County. After retiring from his building and remodeling business in Mt. Pleasant, Wieczorek sought a meaningful way to give back to the community that had been an integral part of his life since 1978.

Wieczorek's inspiration for the fund came from witnessing the positive impact of the Isabella County Restoration House on a friend who had been going through a difficult time. The shelter provided his friend with the support needed to regroup and rebuild his life, eventually becoming self-sufficient and successful.

The Wieczorek Family Fund aims to provide homeless individuals with the resources and support necessary to rebuild their lives and achieve self-sufficiency. Wieczorek hopes the fund and Isabella County Restoration House will give more people the opportunity to take the steps needed to achieve lasting success.

Looking ahead, Wieczorek envisions the Foundation reaching out to other family fund administrators to encourage them to allocate a portion of their grants to the Restoration House. He believes such a collective effort would expand the impact of the Isabella County Restoration House and further support community residents in need.
