#TeamUp for the Great Lakes Bay Region Grant Program Returns for 2022
The Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation (MPACF) is pleased to announce we are continuing to #TeamUp with the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational (Dow GLBI) this year. The annual LPGA event will take place July 10-16 at the Midland Country Club, and local charities are invited to apply now for their chance to be teamed with two of the 72 professional golf pairings participating in the tournament. Applications must be submitted online by March 11.
Nonprofits will be selected based on their organization’s impact on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education; sustainability; diversity, equity and inclusion; community resiliency; and/or innovation. All 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in the Great Lakes Bay Region are invited to apply. Each year, #TeamUp for the Great Lakes Bay Region selects seven organizations across each of the region’s counties (Saginaw, Bay, Midland and Isabella). An additional eight nonprofits are also selected based on the services they provide on a regional level. A total of $237,500 will be donated through this program with each selected nonprofit guaranteed to receive at least a $4,500 grant.
Selections are expected to be announced at the end of April. “We are thrilled to work with tournament staff and our friends at the Midland Area Community Foundation, Bay Area Community Foundation, and Saginaw Community Foundation to support this program,” said Amanda Schafer, MPACF CEO.
The Dow GLBI’s charitable giving efforts have awarded more than $1 million to local nonprofits since 2019. See the full #TeamUp press release for more details.
